Jim,
I have read figures of 20 to 30% of Nv business comes from Ca. Prop 5 would hurt us. In my opinion, not as much as is being stated. For all intensive purposes the Ca indians have full blown gaming now. It is presented a little different, but you can play most games. The indians that are against prop 5, realize that if passed, it will be tied up in the courts for years. They want to go on with the compact that is signed and start today.
Machines are OK in the compact, they will be developed to meet compact standards and will be limited in number.
Question: Do we owe the indians full blown and un-supervised gaming to make up for mistakes made 100 years ago? No one knows what is happening with the reservation gaming. NO one is watching it.
