The note selected today is a 2009 issue of $2 Dollars. This is a radical new change for Bermuda’s currency in that it has gone to a vertical format as well as a completely new graphic. Also it is a hybrid note combining both paper and polymer (the dark oval above the Blue bird is a ‘see-thru’ polymer window). Also, it contains UV markings as well as a silver security thread with the imprint of the Bermuda Island.
(Front) 3 sailboats at upper left, butterfly at upper right with Blue bird as main focus and Queen Elizabeth at lower left. (Back) Sunset at upper left with Butterfly overprint, boats docked in the harbor at center with Clock Tower at lower left and King Neptune at lower right. ENJOY!!!
