Roy's two chips on the left have "RIM" designs that are Seymour coded PD-AR & PD-AU. Dale's '85 book has the "Star Border" PD-AR chip listed as circa 1880 and the PD-AU "Star Border" (I call it Box Border) listed as circa 1890. The dates come from the CATALOG SECTION in both of Dale's books. (see SUYDAM page 402 Seymour rev. ed.) If you look at Roy's two chips on the left, they are chips that used these standard engraved BORDER DESIGNs with a scrimshaw monogram added special order. The chip on the right is engraved both on the border and the monogram. Not scrimshawed. My guess is the VC chip is a special order post or circa 1900 and that the C stands for CLUB but who knows. Rare & Beautiful Antique chips Roy!
