When I got back from our trip I found that my main computer crashed totally. Won't start or anything. Looks like the mother board is fried since it would not start with a new power supply either. I took my hard drive and tried to use it as the master in my wifes similiar computer but it crashes on startup and won't even go into safe mode. I got my important files by using it as a slave HD but am wondering if there is any way to get it to run as the master so I can run my programs on startup? I noticed that there are a set of pins and one jumper on the hard drive. Do they have anything to do with my problem? Any help would be appreciated.
