Rich,
The Victory Club chips come from Pittman, Nevada. Pittman was either named for the individual or the "wash". My guess the individual<g>. The chips were found by a gentleman from Northern Nevada. He had them on sale at the convention for $200.00 a set. A copy of the "card" was posted to the top of his glass show case showing the number issued.
We who specialize in Nevada chips knew the Victory Club chips were from Pittman, Nevada. What we didn't know was "how many" were ordered. Did the amount ordered affect price??? In my opinion, no. $200.00 is a very reasonable price for the set. The fact we now know the number really doesn't change anything. Common sense would of told anyone thinking about it - how many chips can come from a one or two table joint??? The answer is obvious.
Are the "T" mold records valuable? Yes and no, depending upon what you collect. I am an advocate of information and information sharing. I just believe individuals should pay for their own information. Not ask an organization to subsidize it. Best, Jim
