Good grief. Some of us old farts might just as well fade away if the newbies don't recognize the father of the club. But, in a sense this is good news; it means that we are bringing in new people who have no connection with the past. Thus, it is our duty to keep them informed of who and what we are; what we have been and where we are going. That's why I think the next election will be a very important one as new blood is pumped in. I probably ought not to make my choice for President or the other officers public as it will probably be the kiss of death. But I happen to think that Jim Reilly, despite being a lawyer and a friend, would help the Club go forward. I like Neal S. for V-P but that's probably because he keeps giving me CHIPCO chips. <g> I think he would be a very effective voice for the Club.
One final thought: if the Club buys the chip purchase records, it seems to me that it ought not to be just put in storage even tho access to it through the Club will occur. It seems to me that some person should take responsibility for it and provide information on request much as Gene does with the Mason Hub mold records.
