Was working an afternoon shift (1.30pm - 9.30pm BST). At about 3pm Andy... one of the bar staff stuck his head round the door, to tell me a plane had crashed into a skyscaper in New York.

Within 30mins the horror became apparent, and Becky - Duty manager brought out a portable TV, so I could watch the news coverage. Went on a break and went through to the bar... every punter was just sat watching the pictures... the gaming floor was empty and the casino was near silent.
