Thanks to Brian and Howard for putting the photo up on the BB. As I'm sure you can see, the 1st Place plaque is much better looking than I am.
Putting the exhibit together was much more work than I anticipated but I had a great time doing it. The overall quality of the ANA exhibits is outstanding. All are done with a great deal of care and look very professional. There is a fixed evaluation and grading system. The completed grading sheets are given to the exhibitors so you know where you need to improve. Some of the judges include written comments, both encouraging and critical.
We need to continue to promote the hobby in this manner. Next year the ANA convention is in Atlanta. As the largest member club within the ANA, we should strive to have many more exhibits entered in the Casino Chips and Gaming Tokens catagory. If you live in the area or plan on attending, please consider entering an exhibit. If you need any advice, please contact me. I know that Archie, Mark Lighterman and Ken Hallenback would also be glad to help in any way possible.
My thanks to Archie whose pleading on the BB prompted me to enter the exhibit. It was a rewarding experience and very personally gratifying.
