Time to throw in my plug platform for a parttime/fulltime executive secretary. That is exactly what these people do for volunteer organizations. Wayne and Belinda do a fantastic job but are stretched to the limits, if we are to grow to the next step, we cannot do it with just volunteers. We need paid staff to do the day to day organizational work. Most organizations that are based primarily on volunteer help have paid staff for day to day activities. Two which I am acctively involved in and serve on there boards are the American Cancer Society and the Chamber of Commerce. The volunteers do not resent the fact that paid staff assume day to day duties.
