I don't travel that much, so I can't make comparisons, but it annoyed me that the Trop. charged me:

(1) $9.25 for a one-minute long distance phone call (they had a notice that said the cost would be "AT&T rates" plus a "surcharge"); and
(2) $1.00 per local call.
