One of the big things the club has to do is remember the convention is for the members, not the dealers. A member should be able to come to the convention and not "buy" a single chip and there should be plenty of chipping seminars, etc. to fill their time. Perhaps if we move to a convention where the members pay a convention fee rather than only the dealers paying the bills from their tables, we can move in this direction. It's unrealistic to have the mentality that all members are going to want to spend every minute the show floor is open buying chips. Those that choose to do will, even if there are seminars or other activities going on while the show floor is open.
