Gene is absolutely correct. More cash for the club account. Also, If we do a paid sit down dinner, the club will gain the amount charged for the tickets; thus reducing the amount out of the club account to be paid for catering. For example, if the club paid $7000 to catering this year and held a free reception the cost to the club was $7000. But if the club charged $20 per ticket and 200 people attended the dinner the cost to the club would be $3000 rather than $7000. The account "saves" $4000.
