He had a lot of them

I don't know if they were samples, but when GGS was selling Borland's inventory, there were many boxes of the unmarked dovetails in several color and mold combinations. You seldom see a hotstamped dovetail so these were probably not inventory for future marking. They don't have a recessed center so don't lend themselver to addition of an inlay. I bought several hundred of them at the time, and most are now gone, some to sample collectors, some to dovetail chip collectors, and some as home play chips. There were thousands of them for sale, and I've always wondered where they ended up.

Attractive and unusual chips. The pink and white chips are not dovetails, but chips with very large inserts. If they had been made with inlays, you would think them pie chips.
