I obtained the chip in March, 2000 from Walter Dirzulaitis who told me that it came from the Silver City in Las Vegas. It is listed in The Chip Rack. Not sure if he picked it up himself.

I have a similar 25c chip from Jackpot Casino, LV. It is beige, EWING mold with just the 25c denomination on each side. I got this from Howard Herz in October, 1998. He told me that Phil Jensen got it off the table at the casino.

So it appears that generic chips were used in some casinos.
