My father told me, "Don't believe what you hear, and only half of what you see." The digital world convinced that if I'm not there in person can't necessarily trust that either. The person to whom the quote is attributed, third hand, was not there. If you weren't there then you don't know.

First hand, I was there. It was outstanding! Better organized than most trade shows I've gone to. Chips, people, events, chips, dinners, poker tournament, seminars, chips, auctions, pool time, did I mention chips?...this show was fabulous. Only "flop" I saw was in Texas Hold'em.

I was at the Orleans last year as well. Facility vs. facility comparisons have nothing to do with the flavor, excitement, friendship and energy that permeated both events.

Those who couldn't make it missed out. Hopefully they will join us next year.

As for me, I just got myself so worked up I'm calling the airlines and book!!!
