If the seller described shipping costs in the auction lot, I do not see a problem as long as they are followed. If a potential bidder feels that the shipping costs are too high, they can choose to not bid or negotiate with the seller prior to bidding. I have done that on several occassions with success.

It is the seller's choice to ship via a method they are comfortable with, they are the ones that will be responsible if something goes wrong.
