Using an image reducing program is the best bet. There is an excellent program available free. It's called Multiple Image resizer.....and it's FREE!

This program lets you totally control the quality and the size of not only an individual image, but as many as you like. You can do an entire folder full of images all at once if you like. You can reduce the size without dramatically reducing the quality.

You can specify the demensions, or the quality, or the dpi, etc.

Download it. Install it. Play with it. You will LOVE it.
