Since we no longer raise/process our own food we must rely on pre-processed, pre-packaged foods and the ingredients/ways prepared are not always obvious making an already complicated task even more challenging.
I would think it would be almost overwhelming to attempt to adhere to a kosher diet. Then to dine out would make it virtually impossible.
I am guessing (correct me if wrong) that not all Jewish people adhere 'strictly' to a kosher diet? I am a Baptist, and I assure you many Baptist 'fudge' when it comes to adhering to our strict beliefs, and ours are hardly as stringent as just the kosher aspect of your religion!
