I still have the front page section of our local newspaper that in 3 inch high letters said NIXON RESIGNS!. I thought that was kinda important at the time and kept it. I suspect your historical source thought much the same of what she saw in a newspaper about the SS, and clipped it or might have even saved the whole paper.
