I checked the other auctions by the this seller. There is not one of them that is not without some "concern".
Some of the auctions say "OLD" for chips that are current. There are a number of auctions for "fantasy" or "commemorative" chips that hint at what they are, but do not actually say so. The seller is using the strategy of "I don't know what I have, you figure it out." I can understand that this regularly occurs, but it shouldn't occur for so many auctions from the same seller. While he is skirting around fraud, try and prove what someone knows or doesn't know, I cannot believe that he is being honest. If it is a "fantasy" chip then say so. If it is a current chip than say so. What's the big deal? Who is he trying to fool. Furtunately, there are many brave soles in our hobby who are looking out for the newcomers.
After a final review of the seller's auctions, I have to add that there are a couple of auctions for California cardroom chips that look OK. But overall, my impression is that this seller is not being honest and who would want to deal with someone like that?
