Each August we have a big outdoor show at Bouckville, N.Y. A 1,000 dealers (the signs say--but over the past few years, probably closer to 750--EBAY? or the economy) plus another thousand dealers along the road. In the past I've made some good, even great finds, but the past few years--nothing. Last week after trudging for five hours I bought only the four chips below: I had a couple of them but not all four colors. The dealer had an incomplete set that he wanted $45 for and sold four to me for $5. Years ago I would have snapped up the set of nearly 300 (a nearby vendor was asking $75 for a set of common embossed motor boat chips) but I'm no longer collecting large numbers of chips. Anyway that was my find.
