For years, people have been joking - and complimenting - Greg every time they see or eat at a Sonic hamburger stand. I finally had a chance to go to the one in Clinton Twp, Michigan (usually there is a line of cars stretching onto the highway; this time no line).

My verdict: I understand why people make a big fuss about Sonic. The food was great - the onion rings are probably the best I have every tasted. I did not use a carhop (I did drive-thru), but I'm planning to bring my kids back so they can experience this forgotten slice of Americana.

Greg, I know you didn't invent the place and only work there, but kudos to the company.
