You threw up a straw man to knock down by claiming Fox News was/is anywhere near to being competitive with the ABC/NBC/CBS mainstream media. They aren't.

They are the most popular cable/satellite news network. They present conservative AND liberal view points on many subjects important to us all. That is why they are popular. They don't pretend that every news program is presented without bias, and they willingly present the biased opinions from every side. ABC, CBS, and NBC ALL claim to present unbiased news programming. They believe they actually do, because all of their colleagues hold the same ideology, so they think a leftist ideology is unbiased and middle of the road. They are too far left to see the center. The center is "right wing" to them.

ABC literally moved into the Obama Whitehouse recently to produce programming about health care, and they wouldn't even sell advertising to others who might counter the words from the Messiah, much less give program time to anyone with differing opinions on these very important matters. That isn't/wasn't about ad revenue. It is/was solely about advancing an agenda. The Obama agenda. The media elite are in his pocket. Most Americans will only know what they, and he, want you to know.
