I went with the on-line store for my service provider. I was looking for a service that cost less than $30 a month, and I wanted to transfer my number. The salesman at Best Buy said it couldn't be done - no company allows a number to be transfered with a low-cost plan. Virgin, however, offered exactly that, for $28 a month. Best Buy offered Virgin service and phones, but the better deal was on the Virgin website.
