I know that Michael mentioned the set in "The Information Booth" at one time; quoting me that the pieces are not known as coming from any casino in Vichy; info passed on to me by Europe's top historians. I do have a note from one curator who actually spoke with the manufacturer who had no record of who ordered the material, but this was some 30 years ago. I have no idea what all has been found by whom, since. I notice that Michael posted earlier today (after you responding to my post with Michael's name in the subject line). Perhaps, if Michael read your post, he's searching his notes for the attribution. My reason for mentioning TGT is that if info has been found on this set that has been unknown for many years... I was wondering if it's now mentioned in the book as was other UFC and identified chips in the Revised Edition's "Pictographic Section" of TGT, since the question has been popping up for so many years; especially within the last few years without any positive attribution posted by anyone who may have noticed the post you mention and perhaps made some notes (or saved the post). I've searched the archives and found a few similar posts of yours stating Michael's attribution, but it all stops there. Perhaps Greg already emailed Michael and will let us know his findings. It would be nice to learn that the pieces are finally attibuted; if so.
