I like the chip. It's only known in that one color,
and Michael Knapp had some excellent information
regarding the games that were held each year during
the season (or whatever they call it in WY). I'm
glad that you understand my post wasn't to peck at
you, but to call to others that we never know what
our interest in this hobby will be down the road.
I've only been collecting ivories for about 5-years
now. My forte is locating rare, high-denomination
jetons and plaques for a select European market. In my travels I've
passed complete sets of ivory poker chips and single
pieces...never undestanding what anyone sees in a
plain, stupid looking chip with a "5" or "25" on it.
The chip told me nothing; where it was from, when
it was used...or even who made it. Today, it's a
different story. I never used to bother too much
with readheads, either. Today, I find them very
sexy. Times and taste change (I hope they don't
change too much).
