FYI.... from the seller
In Response To: Re: $100 Caesars Chip on Ebay ()

The past week has been a learning experience to say the least. When I listed the chip and dice, I was hoping to get a couple hundred dollars. I had now idea what they were worth.

In the past 6 days I've been thoroughly educated in chip collecting (by several eBay members) and learned that the chip alone is worth anywhere between $8,000 and $20,000. This is incomprehensible to me.

The response has been so overwhelming I've decided to keep the chip and reassess the situation. When a couple of people offered over $10,000, I knew it was time to consult my accountant to discuss my tax obligations on such a large transaction.

So I need some time to digest all this info and make sure I'm making the right decision. With the current soft economy I can't help but think if I hold off for a year or two, these items will yield an even greater reward. Perhaps enough to get my kids through college!

Best regards,
