...thanks very much. I'm still in Europe now and I can't test it yet. The laptop I'm travelling with has Access 2003, which does not have the dictionary page header feature. I have a more recent version of Access on my home desktop, on which I designed the current TCR format, but that automatically places the header on the right side of each page. I'll mess with it when I get home this weekend and see if I can change it as you suggested. I agree... it's a pain having the headers on the right side on the left-hand pages.
