"Do the math with the numbers Gene posted, Archie....and you'll be able to answer the question yourself. Also, look at the full page ad in the club magazine offering the Mason records (cards) and X that figure with just 20% of the total card inventory that was available in that deal. I bet there are at least 5 people reading this thread right now who would gladly pay (today) what those records sold for (yesterday). I bet there are at least 5 people who would pay a hefty premium over the Mason records for B.C. Wills (Sm-Key) paper or records showing the who, where and when for Arodie molds. So, the $5 or $10 increase in dues will never cut it if the club had to bid against some others for this material." John B.
I HAVE answered the question for myself John. I was asking if others would support the signigicant outlay of club dollars to purchase these records? What do these records contain? What is the scope? Eveidently you feel that five people reading this thread and that five people would pay a hefty premium for the B.C. Wills records. I don't think that this number anywhere near represents the feeling of the majority of club members. How about some input from other bb readers who are CCGTCC members on how they would like their dues money spent?
