I don't believe video games and rap music lead kids down the wrong road and into trouble. I know what you were trying to say, but it wasn't phrased correctly. My son is 19 and played video games all his life. He graduated High School with honors, ran track and XC all 4 years in High School and is getting ready to start his second year in college.
When I was a teenager I listended, to Aerosmith, Black Sabbath, KISS, and Ted Nuggent. Parents probably thought the same thing back in those days. I saw kids taking Acid and listening to Sabbath, but one does not imply the other. It didn't lead me down the wrong path.
My son and daughter have seen me collect chips for 10+ years, but for the most part they can't relate to it. Just recently my son was able to visit a casino out of the country for the first time where the legal gambling age was 19 and he wanted a couple chips from the casino. So perhaps he will get slightly interested in the hobby. But he was never a "collector" of much as a kid, so I'm not sure he will.
