and their time and I do not want to belittle,or slight anyone's time devoted to the club. My reasoning is this:because it is such a lump sum donation all at once I felt that Carlos should get a couple of perks. Still do,even though your points made are very valid.
I would hate to think that the club would lose by not rewarding such a lump sum payment.
Yes,volunteers put in an amazing amount of work. Yes,David does a great job of auctioneering and it is great that Davis Sarles has contributed so much(I honestly was unaware of this),HOWEVER,to be honest and frank....if David Spragg was not the auctioneer,if David Sarles does not contribute the way he does,if you or anyone else does not help out with their time,IN THEORY.....and please make sure that this is understood...IN THEORY...they can all be replaced with others. A lump sum automatic payment via a painting or huge donation may not be as readily replaced and I would hate for the club to lose that much of a lump sum donation.
That is the point that I am trying to get across.
I understand that the club is not a rich one and cannot reward too many people but I think that in some situations,some type of perk could be awarded.
I see and can agree with both sides of the discussion.
