Has anyone on the board ever considered the club picking up the hotel tab or expenses for the artist who donated two paintings to the club in two years in which the club has taken in over $6,000?
After speaking with Carlos about his art and work,I find it hard to believe that there would be no effort to pay for his and Judith's stay as a token of appreciation.
The club does well by him so would it not be a nice gesture to cough up some funds to help out? Four nights in a hotel plus gas is well under $600. His paintings bring in a minimum of $2500 each plus money from chips and posters. It would be a win win situation don't you think? I admire him for the donation but wonder if there will come a time that he might feel that his efforts are not being appreciated and may just realize that it is not worth the effort. We all lose then right?
An artist needs recognition and he has been good to us. Should we not be good to him? We certainly would not want him to feel that he is being taken for granted.
Any opinions here?
