Though I'm all for an increase of dues (especially
to buy manufacturer's records) and convention
registration fees, I feel that a $5 or $10 increase
will not cover the costs of what some of these
records have sold for in the past. I feel if
records can be had at $5,000, $10,000 or whatever
(per manufacturer / distributor)...the club should
seriously consider such a purchase if and when
records should become available. The club will also
need to understand that not just we, alone, will be
searching for these records, but that there will be
others interested, too....so they just may be a bit more costly than in the past.
