Numbering systems are devised and assigned by the authors of the guides that use them. I assign CG numbers when I catalog a chip to make it easy to positively identify a particular chip. All CG numbers are used at http://www.chipguide.com.

V6584 and N3184 are numbers assigned by the authors of The Chip Rack. Those chips are different and if you find the exact same chip referred to with each number, then one of the people is wrong. V6584 is a 6-suits mold while N3184 is a Die4suit mold. You can see correct images of both chips at nevadaones.com, or follow this link:
