Re: Question about researching chips..

Wes, for all the "CG" or ChipGuide numbers which includes all the Indian chips (no value guide though) go here http://www.chipguide.com/
You'd need to confirm with Greg Susong but I'm pretty sure the ChipGuide numbers were assigned randomly to his data base at the start of the project & then each new item gets the next free ID number in order.

The "V6584" etc you mention comes from TheChipRack. If another person has the chip listed as a different TCR# then it's highly likely that in that particular case it's a variation on the other chip. Cactus Jacks, Casino 93 etc have a few chips that look very similar which are actually different.
For on online version of the ChipRack go to http://www.silver-state-treasures.com/

James' book doesn't contain any LE's except for Hard Rock chips. With the rapid rate at which LE's are produced it would be almost impossible to keep up with them all (although in saying that The Chip Rack does a pretty good job doing it)Again, check out Silver State Treasures for LE's & also here http://www.renocasinochips.com/

Hope that helped. grin

CHeers, Tim.
