If you are cataloging and tracking your UV chips with a TCR number you can do the following...
N3434 UV01
N3434 UV02
N3434 UV03
V7721 UV01
V7721 UV02
If you have distinguished age of the chip by UV symbols then you should have no problem putting them in order.
Casinos do re-order chips and most really are not to worried about the slight manufacturing differences. In fact most (not all) casino employees (that handle chips) will not even notice a difference. We have reordered our $1 3 times and I have noticed slight inlay differences on all 3 orders, the chips are RHC and I could not tell a difference in the mold. Our $1 chips are basically cataloged as 1 chip on Chipguide. Now they are all so dirty I can't really tell the difference anymore. : )
But I do see your point at what you are trying to get across; some of these re-orders could be of smaller quantities and a chip with a certain UV could be more rare than the chip where they made the original run of 200,000 chips. That would open up a whole new dimension to collecting and pricing of chips.
