I was an ASA certified umpire and loved it until I had to call a forfeit at a playoff game between two young girls teams because the drunk, rude Manager would not leave the field when told to. The man ruined it for the girls and I never umpired again. I was volunteering my time and he took the fun out of it for me. Having to eject someone is not fun but this guy was the Manager of one of the teams and refused to leave. The parents, the kids and I tried everything to get this guy to get under control but he just got worse. The kids payed the price that day and I never wanted to be in that position again.
