I am a member of PPA but the thing that has always angered and frustrated me is that poker players are called upon to challenge efforts to stop online poker while, at the same time, the offshore sites do nothing. Before the UIGEA passed I was part of a group that was trying to do something in Washington state by way of an initiative petition which would legalize, regulate and tax on-line poker in Washington. Initiatives are expensive so I contacted someone I knew who was a major investor (and later big loser) in Party Poker to see if they would help fund the effort. I was told, in effect, not to worry my pretty little head because they had it covered in D.C. Right--
