It's possible, John, although I don't know for sure. There definitely was gaming at the airport. Tahoe's former airport was called Sky Harbor (the same as Phoenix's current airport), with a casino nearby. It's possible the Sky Room was part of the casino. Maybe Steve Passalacqua, who knows far more about Tahoe's history than I do, will have the answer.
