Slipping in junk chips
In Response To: Why? ()

Sellers often have several junk chips of little to no value that they add to the group in order to get rid of them. The buyer figures that they might be worth face or a bit more, so they can justify bidding the higher amount just to get the 3-4 chips that they want out of the group. All that ends up happening is that these junk chips are transferred to a new owner who doesn't want them either. Buyer beware.
