let's not forget that the price or value of something is not what a book says it is but what the market says it is. if a book lists something for a price X and you can't find a buyer for it, is it worth Price X or have you just not find the person willing to pay price X? it's a catch 22. something is worth only what somebody else is willing to pay for it. when it comes down to it, the chips are really "worth" the cost of materials to make them but their value is whatever somebody else is willing to pay for it.
