Charles & Gene--thanks from the three of us for your kind words. Last year
when Janice O'Neal and Bruce Landau were chosen, I was disappointed that
Michael wasn't elected to have all of the original board members in the
Hall of Fame. I now see the wisdom of the committee. They wanted all three
of us to be inducted at the same time, as a team. We are honored to be in the
company of Archie, Howdy, Dale, Janice and Bruce. I still can't think of
anyone more deserving of the honor this year.<G> The convention was great--
the opening ceremonies, the trade sessions, poker tournament, seminars,
auction, awards ceremony, business meeting and the convention room itself.
Also thanks to the officers, the committee chairpersons and volunteers.
When everything goes so smoothly that we don't realize it, Wayne and his group
are doing their jobs well. I always say that convention week is my favorite
time of the year and it is not because of chips & tokens. It is because of
the people and we have a terrific bunch of people.
