I scan several at a time and then crop it down to a single chip and save the image then use the Edit/Undo to bring back the entire scan, then crop it down to the next chip and so on until I have saved each image. This works much better than the old method I used of doing the crop on the preview and scanning each chip individually - a lot less ware and tear on the scanner too.
