... the Societa Incremento Turistico Alberghiero Valdostano (SITAV) a group of Counts and Knights -- was set up and given the first concession to run the casino operation on the hotel property (29-3-1947), many other casinos in the region opend about the same exact time in order to help the economy after the war. Towns would issue licenses and authorizations to just about anyone interested in opening a casino... and once opened, they were very short-lived and shut down by the central government for not being operated correctly, except for Casino di Saint Vincent which remained. I've attempted to research those 1947 casinos and their chips, but from what I am told, most everything from those casinos was destroyed when they were closed down.
I have never been there... but this is a 1989 SITAV photo.
