If such club member had a yacht and that club member kept his personal chips on board that yacht w/o any graphics on the chips that note the yacht's name, then I would not consider them a yacht chip, but rather a personal chip since they can be used anywhere without implying they are yacht chips. If that same club member had a yacht named "Barbara-Anne" - and the chips depicted "Barbara-Anne" - then those chips would be attributed to the "Barbara-Anne" no matter where the yacht sailed to/from.

As in the case w/ the duPont chips; how do we know if those chips were even on board the boat since they're only known as coming from USPC employees... and if they were on the yacht, how do we know that they were not still on board after each new owner maintained the yacht and eventually changed the name of the yacht while repositioning the yacht to Galveston or wherever. My only suggestion would be to attribute the chips with initially listing for whom they were made and for where they were intended to be used (yacht)...

Listing all other later info would not be of too much use in my opinion... especially if yacht club memberships changed thru the years w/ or w/o any other changes.

I would keep it simple: "Chips were made for X and outfitted for Y who lived in Z."
