Nevada Inlay Fractional of the Day

We stay on the Vegas strip for today's chip, a 1st issue 50 center from the Westward Ho, released in the 1980s.

I may have two variations here, but I'm not sure. The chip on the right is the navy chip with red denom - N2307. I have myself partially convinced that the one on the left is the dark blue with orange denom - V1798, but as you can see the difference is very hard to determine. I am waiting to stumble on the really orange denom version, but until then I keep these two chips. I know, I know ... the difference in background of the scan doesn't help matters.

Nothing remarkable here -- just simple and attractive with the uninterrupted rich blue surrounding the white inlay with black text and a lively red/orange denom.
