() You can enter the convention floor and buy chips beginning at 10:00 am on Thursday. The convention floor will be open Thursday from 10:00 to 5:00 (entrance closed at 4:30), from 10:00 to 5:00 Friday (entrance closed at 4:30) and from 10:00 to 4:00 Saturday (entrance closed at 3:30).
"Do I need to pre register to attend or is that just for dealers?
Pre-registration for us non-dealers for $25 saves time and $5 off the three-day rate.
"Do I need to buy tickets in advance or at the door?"
If you don't pre-register, you can buy your entry pass at a separate area outside the convention floor. The registration area opens at 9:00 on Wednesday and Thursday and at 9:30 on Friday and Saturday. You can pay your entry fees each day for $15 or pay $30 for a three-day pass. Admission is free after noon on Saturday.
"Any other tips for a first time attendee?"
1. Bring lots of cash. 
2. If you've got certain things you're looking for, make a list. It can be overwhelming when you see the sheer volume of chips and tokens and other collectibles available.
3. If time allows, browse all of the dealer's tables first, making mental notes of those you think you want to return to later.
4. If you're looking for a particular chip and spending more than you normally do for a single chip, check around to see who has the best price before buying.
5. Don't ignore the "junk boxes". One man's trash is another man's treasure.
6. Attend the educational seminars if time allows.
7. Have fun!
