Paris France had no roulette.
When I got my $1 chips for my collection they asked me to play or souvenir ? I said I will take them HOME to the real Paris... that turned a few heads.
The girl had a look at the chips gave me good condition ones. Then I said do you know there is NO roulette in the real Paris. Again a few heads turned and more staff came to the window I was at.
They said because we have it ? I said NO. It was our good friend Napoleon Bonaparte who decided to protect the 'normal' Paris inhabitants not to loose there pay at the tables that the only casino would have to be 1 hours drive away from the center of Paris by horse and coach. So the Enghien les Bains opened up outside Paris center. (of course now with the subway it is only 15 minutes away from the center)
That opened a few eyes and mouths and I bid them a good day...
