Family members have owned several HP desktops. Every single one has had problems, but it was 4-5 years ago. Maybe things are better now. I suggest you go to TigerDirect.com. They have absolutely the best prices I have seen. I just bought a new laptop in January. I'm very pleased with the system and all the extras. I priced similar components and the Dell price was just about twice what I ended up paying. Take care and good luck in your search.
