You are absolutely right, they are beautiful! I suggested Monaco to Bob Hermans when I first showed them to him. Perhaps his friend isn't the individual that you both know. We'll see. I just had to have them. The intricate filigree caught my eye, and I HAD to take them home with me!
As for the wheel at the Paris being the same one that was used at the MGM, the pit person working the table last year mistook me for someone he thought played the table at the MGM on my second visit to Paris. He knew he saw me somewhere playing that game, he just wasn't sure where. He ran the table at the MGM when it was there too. Someone told me this weekend that the Paris table was different. I don't think so. It is different from when they opened the game at the Paris, in that they have a collar of wooden racks surrounding the wheel to hold the jetons that they didn't have last November or December, but other than that, it's the same table.
